The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Artbook

I could say so many things about The Witcher franchise. I love it so much. I’m lucky enough to have the artbooks from The Witcher and The Witcher 2. Now, with my collector’s edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, I have this third beautiful one. As usual, this artbook is very good. The cover is hard and shiny. It shows the head of a Wild Hunt member.

There are a lot of details in the book, about places, monsters, characters… We can feel the very depressive atmosphere of the game in each page. I think all of the artworks are made with digital technics but I’m used to it with the franchise, because it was probably the same for the previous episodes. Plus, digital painting is very efficient when you have to change again and again your charactere rough to fit the Art Director’s will.

There is eleven parts in this book. I can’t name them because mine is in French and you would probably don’t understand anything 😀 ! These parts describe visually and textually the different environments of the game’s world. You will see a lot of drawings of Velen, Skellig, Novigrad etc. There is a part dedicated to the witchers, explaining who they are, what their gears are, and which witcher schools exist. Another part is meant to explain the allies and characters you will meet during your journey.

This third artbook conclude the Witcher trilogy in a great manner. I’m really happy to have it, and I’m really looking forward to have the future CDProjekt RED’s games artbook!
